School trips to the Pottery Workshop in Toronto

Our experienced instructors will inspire your students, engage them in the process and teach them new skills.

Children will not only learn about ceramics and clay firing but will also learn to throw on a potter's wheel and paint and decorate their finished products.

Complete freedom to be creative! The children themselves will design every aspect of their product: from colour and shape to function.

Several lesson plans to choose from: One-off classes, subscriptions and courses are all available.

Finished products can be collected 2-4 weeks after the lesson: They will be safe for food and drinks or can be kept as a memento.

$100 + HST per person
The price includes everything from instructors and materials to the firing and glazing of finished products.
TIME: 2 hours
NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: We can accommodate 4-30 guests.

During the school excursion, children will learn:
● Interesting facts about the history of ceramics
● Why were only men potters in ancient times?
● What colours does clay come in?
● What techniques are used in hand-building?
● What temperature is clay fired at and why?
During the school excursion, children will learn:
● how to throw on a potter's wheel
● the techniques of hand-building and how to make their own ceramics
● how to decorate and create different textures on clay
● how to paint on clay with special paints
